Stamp Set Spotlight - Natures Walk

I thought I'd start some regular features on my blog... which will include Stamp Set Spotlight, and Techniques Tuesday ( and some more which I've got ideas for but not thought of a name yet!!)

Natures Walk is a set of 7 stamps available in wood or clear mount. They can be used to make fresh looking floral cards or taken further with different techniques to create a vintage look.

I've started with a piece of baja breeze A4 cardstock, cut it in half and then scored one half to make myself an A6 cardblank. I've made a mat of pear pizzazz and punched with the scallop border punch. I've trimmed a piece of very vanilla cardstock to fit inside.

Using baja breeze and pear pizzazz markers I have coloured in the floral stamp and stamped onto the card and then a second generation stamp (giving a ligher image). Continue until you have the desired amount of flowers. Stamp the sentiment (this one is from Sincere Saluations), and using a dauber lightly dab ink around the edge of the vanilla to soften it. Attach the seam binding ribbon and tie a bow. Attach the layers together.

Hope you like my design :-) Check out here tomorrow for the Stampin Up August special offer!!!

Vintage Vogue Birthday Card

Hi Everyone

For this card I've the stamp set Vintage Vogue, this is available in Wood or Clear mount. It uses a variety of stamping and punching techniques.

To make the card:

1. I scored and trimmed an A4 sheet of White Whisper Cardstock into a square card blank.

2. I attached a square of DSP (Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack) In Colours to leave a small edge of the white showing.

3. I cut a square of Very Vanilla cardstock and punched around the edges with the Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches. And attached this centrally on the card

4. I punched some leaves from Pear Pizzazz cardstock using the Two Step Bird Punch and attached to the Very Vanilla on the card.

5. I stamped the large flower from the stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock using the Peach Parfait ink pad, and the small flower 3 times using the Blushing Bride ink pad. I then cut these out and attached one small flower onto the large flower. You can raise with dimensionals if you wish. I attached the flowers to the card and added some Basic Pearls to the centres of the flowers.

6. I stamped the sentiment Birthday Wishes (from the Sincere Salutations stamp set) in Pear
Pizzazz Ink and attached a bow tied from Organz Ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot.

I really love the way the In Colours go together, by changing the greeting on this card it would be suitable for any occasion.

More soon.......
